How smart can your life be now? At the opening ceremony of the 2023 Minhang Science and Technology Festival held on May 23, a number of new technologies and products closely related to people's lives, such as smart pets, unmanned supermarkets, smart education, and AI exhibit activation, were displayed from local science and technology enterprises, showing the changes brought about by technological innovation to urban life from a familiar perspective.
In February this year, the Shanghai Municipal Government officially released the "Plan for Promoting the Construction of the "Big Zero Bay" Science and Technology Innovation Source Functional Area". Taking advantage of the opportunity of the Shanghai Municipal Government to promote the construction of the "Big Zero Bay" innovation source, this year's Minhang Science and Technology Festival will carry out activities around the theme of "Science and Technology Innovation Source, Intelligent Creation of the Future", opening up a new situation in which scientific and technological innovation empowers industrial life and urban development, and gathering innovative intelligence to empower innovation-driven development. Facing the future, cutting-edge technologies such as AI technology, synthetic biology, and translational medicine will also enable the further take-off of "Big Zero Bay".
At the opening ceremony, 12 Minhang district-level innovation and research and development centers in 2022, 8 enterprises selected for the second batch of "Zhangjiang Star" cultivation plan, and 11 top 100 "Science and Technology Stars" companies were awarded honorary medals to encourage the majority of science and technology enterprises to strengthen independent innovation, continuously improve their hard technology capabilities, and make new contributions to the economic and social development of Minhang.
At the scene, the 3.0 version of Minhang Science IP image was officially released, and its image is very contagious in science culture. It is reported that the District Political Consultative Conference, the District Science and Technology Commission and the Association for Science and Technology jointly issued a limited edition public welfare digital blind box - Minmin Blind Box to care for autistic children, and presented Minhang Science IP digital blind boxes to 100 "Star Children" families. Opening the blind box can randomly get any of the four digital blind boxes of "Maqiao Hand Lion Dance", "Aerospace Pilot", "Subway Conductor" and "Big Zero Bay Maker".
With the digital blind box, children can visit 10 science education bases, including Shanghai Aerospace Science Center, Shanghai Metro Museum and Shanghai Jiaotong University Bio-GM Science Base, for free within two years. It is hoped that through the appeal of science culture, the "star children" can accompany themselves out of loneliness.
